Kopasasa — Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws of Tanzania to use Kopasasa. By using the App, you confirm that you meet all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

2. Scope of Services

Kopasasa provides digital financial services, which may include user registration, identity verification, credit assessment, and access to financial products, subject to eligibility and applicable laws.

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features or parts of the Services at any time, where permitted by law.

3. User Responsibilities

By using Kopasasa, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information
• Use the App only for lawful and personal purposes
• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account

You are responsible for all activities conducted through your account.

4. Identity Verification

To meet legal and regulatory obligations, we may request information for identity verification, including identification documents, photographs, or biometric information where applicable.

If you do not complete verification, access to certain features may be limited, suspended, or declined.

5. Data Protection and Privacy

Your personal data is collected and processed in line with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the App, you consent to such processing as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Fees and Charges

Where fees, charges, interest, or penalties apply, they will be disclosed before you complete a transaction. You are responsible for reviewing the displayed information and confirming that you understand it before proceeding.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Use the App for fraudulent, illegal, or abusive purposes
• Submit false, misleading, or impersonated information
• Disrupt, damage, or attempt to reverse engineer the App or its security controls
• Attempt to access data or systems without authorization

We may take action, including restricting access, if prohibited conduct is detected.

8. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access where we reasonably believe that:

• You have breached these Terms
• We must do so to comply with law or regulatory directions
• There is suspected fraud, misuse, or a security risk

Termination does not affect obligations that are intended to survive termination (including payment-related obligations and any lawful enforcement rights).

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, service interruptions beyond our reasonable control, or losses resulting from incorrect information provided by users.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by law.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may link to or interoperate with third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, availability, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

11. Intellectual Property

Kopasasa and all related content (including trademarks, logos, and software) are owned by or licensed to GOLDMAN SACHS ENTERPRISES. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works unless permitted by law or with our written authorization.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be made available through the App or other official channels. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of Tanzanian courts.
